Our New Dog Ella

We've adopted a dog from the animal shelter. She's a 9 month old yellow lab named Ella and has been getting along great with Zoe. The first couple days were all fun for Zoe, then she stared getting tired and seemed ready for the new guest to leave, now they've gotten into a groove and have been becoming best buddies.

We've been having a great time in Vermont. Went to Simon Pearce for a great lunch and visited their studio. They generate all the power for their restaurant, studio and glass furnaces from a hydro-electric turbine in their basement, driven by the Ottuaquechee River behind them. Also, collected maple sap, saw maple syrup being boiled and tasted raw maple sap and fresh made cheeses and maple syrups at Sugarbush Farm

Here's a funky Dano 12 string I picked up for a steal on E-Bay. It came with a coffin shaped case that was a little too morbid for me, but I was able to sell it on Craigslist and make the deal on this Dano even sweeter. Been tracking some things with it lately and will hopefully post some soon. Book 'em Dano !

Rangers Game

Although I've played at several private parties and events in The Diamond Club there, I'm embarassed to say I'd never been to a Rangers game at The Ballpark until a couple of weeks ago. Any way it seemed like a fun thing to do before the summer ended, took Milo and we had a great time. They were playing (and lost to) the YANKEES (go northeasterners). Way different and more exciting than watching it on TV. Check out some photos here.

Hilton Head 2008

We've had a fun week on Hilton Head Island. The weather turned out great. Despite rain forecasts, we've haven't seen a drop all week. We've had a day trip to Savannah, 12 mile round trip bike ride to Coligny Square for lunch, saw fireworks at Shelter Cove and done lots of eating - Signe's Breads, Crazy Crab (278 & Harbour Town), Hudson's on the Dock's, Lady and Son's (Paula Deens place) Parrot's Cove and more. Come see Signed Sealed Delivered at Sullivan's in North Dallas tonight. Spent the better part of the afternoon getting stuff organized and the sound system tweaked. Thanks to Brandon and Bryan for being the an awesome crew and to Sean at Sullivan's for helping us get our stuff intertwined with the room system and humming (but not humming) along. Everything is set and spinning like a top with the extra help and ears from Steve, now just looking forward to warming up the AC30 and cooking with some of Dallas' finest.
